Belted Asymmetrical Coat - $198 at nordstrom.com

I'm in love with this jacket! I'm not usually a huge fan of GUESS, but there is nothing to not like about this! The asymmetrical neck is amazing. I also love the button detail at the shoulder and back. This is a great coat that can used for dressier occasions, but would also be great with a pair of jeans. This is definitely on my dream list. The fact that the coat is white does scare me a little as I am slightly clumsy and would likely spill something on it day 1, but it's worth the risk!

Velvet blazers have been all the rage since the Fall. Below are there different options all sold at Macy's and at varying price points. I love the deep purple hue of the Vince Camuto blazer, It's so rich and a great way to add a pop of color to your outfit. I also love the how classic the black Charter Club and Tahari blazers are. These can work for the business day or for a night out on the town, and can be worn for years to come. Unfortunately the purple blazer is no longer available, but you can find comparable blazers at different retailers, and in additional colors. I personally have been on the hunt for a velvet blazer in the perfect shade of green. Happy shopping!

I first saw this dress on the show "666 Park Avenue" and fell in love. I wasn't particularly impressed with the way it was styled on the show (the character covered up the gorgeous detailing of this with a sweater!), but I could still tell it was an awesome dress, so began my search. I was able to track this one down at Anthropologie. On TV, the dress appeared to have cutouts and be an overlay, but it is in fact just a pattern. I think this makes the dress all that more amazing to be able to give the illusion of a cutout with a pattern. Accessorizing this with a belt is a must as it really helps to bring in the waist and accentuate the flare of the skirt. Unfortunately this is no longer available, but I find myself continuing to check the Anthrpologie site in hopes that they bring this one back!

This is a great Fall jacket. I love that they put so much detail into it to really help it stand out from the standard black jacket. The padded shoulders, ruched detail on the arm, and chain trimming lining the closure all help to make this jacket a winner. It comes in olive and taupe colors as well, but the black is by far my favorite. This can go with everything you have - jeans, dresses, skirts, you name it. You can dress it up, dress it down - the options are endless. This is on my shopping list!

Looking for some fall inspiration? Well here it is. The looks below are from Polyvore's Icon Contest finalists. I love how they incorporated some of the season's biggest trends in their styling such as the oxblood color, button detailing, booties, stripes, and the burnt orange hue to name a few. This can help to give you some great ideas on what key pieces you want to make sure you include in your Fall wardrobe as well as how to pair them. I know I'm inspired and can't wait to take these ideas and my wardrobe, and put my own spin on them.

Even though wallpaper's been back in for a while now, I'm just now buying into it. I have definitely been more of a "decorate you walls via paint" kind of gal, but with all of the fun patterns in wallpaper these days, I'm coming around to it. I think for me, my dilemma lies in not wanting to have my house be decorated too trendy. I don't want to have to do a complete overhaul every year or so when the trend is no longer relevant. However, it is the trendy styles that most appeal to me when we're talking wallpaper. The chevron style, which has been huge, featured as wallpaper below is great. Such neutral colors will allow this to go with just about any furniture you have. I'm thinking maybe if I could replicate this on a small scale, such as an accent wall, maybe that will help me keep the balance between classic and trendy. The wallpaper below is from Urban Outfitters, which has great home goods in addition to clothing and accessories, The print below is available online only.

Looking for a way to rock the summer trend of sequins on mini skirts into the Fall/Winter? Well look no further - I give you the sequin trouser. These pants are absolutely adorable, and they also come in a cream color with gold sequins, but I'm not a fan of those. Sequins by nature are dressier, but there are definitely ways to downplay them by pairing with a more simple, casual top as featured below. These pants give you tons of options in terms of accessories, tops, and shoe pairings. Definitely adding these to my must-have Fall clothing list, otherwise known as Pinterest.

This site has great handbags such as the one featured below. My favorite are their collection of weekender/travel bags. They have so many different styles, sizes, and colors to choose from. Now, these are definitely an investment are they are pretty pricey (ranging from $400-$550), but if you consider it luggage, maybe it would be easier to wrap your head around?

My absolute favorite part of the Fall season is boots!!! There are so many different styles and colors, I usually end up buying a few of pairs each season. I have such a hard time picking between a classic boot that can be worn for years to come, and the latest trend that you just have to have, but could very well be a distant memory by the time the next season rolls around. Below are two of my favorite looks this season. Both can be purchased at spool72.com for around $65, which isn't too bad for boots.

Denali Buckle Boots - I love these and probably check them out a couple of times a week debating on whether or not to buy them. My only hang up is that I already have a couple pairs of brown boots in similar colors, and I just bought another pair. I love the suede and leather combo, and the buckle detail is pretty standard for boots these days. I would welcome any arguments for or against why I should or shouldn't purchase these...

Upper County Boots in Oak - Lace ups are making a comeback, and I've been seeing them more and more this season. The lace ups make it easy to get these on and off (we all have that pair of pull on boots where it is literally a work out to get them off, and you have that moment of panic when you begin to wonder if the only way to get them off is to cut off your foot). Sadly these are currently sold out, so I had to satisfy my lace up boot craving elsewhere, but these are a beauty.

Great dress that can be worn various ways to create different looks. I love the color combinations, and for those of you who are unsure of how to mix black and brown, this dress doses all of the work for you. This also can give you inspiration for how to mix these colors together if you already own similar pieces as separates. This can be worn to work as is or with a black blazer on top. You can throw a cardigan over this and a skinny belt to tie it together. You also have a few options in shoe colors. Obviously black pumps go perfectly with this, but you can also play with some other neutral colors in the brown and cream color families. I personally would go with a pointy toe stiletto with this.
